Experience Isn't Everything (But It's Not Nothing)

This message invites us to examine where we land between two extremes: chasing spiritual highs without surrender (like Simon the Sorcerer in Acts 8) or clinging to control and certainty (like Nicodemus in John 3). Both missed the transforming presence of the Spirit. Rather than living on that pendulum, we’re called to welcome the Holy Spirit on His terms—letting go of fear, control, and expectations, and saying simply, “Holy Spirit, I want You.” It's a call to let the wind of the Spirit lead us where we cannot go on our own.
