The Door of the Sheep
What does it mean for Jesus to say, “I am the door”? In John 10, this bold claim is far more than a metaphor—it's a radical invitation and a revolutionary truth about salvation, security, and life to the fullest. In a world that often resists the idea of spiritual absolutes, Jesus’ words confront us with the exclusive nature of His role as the only way to the Father. But that exclusivity comes with a beautiful promise: the protection, care, and abundance of a Good Shepherd who watches over His flock. Like a shepherd guarding the entrance to the sheepfold, Christ stands as the gateway to true life—allowing nothing to pass through without His knowledge. This truth reshapes how we view trials, challenges, and even our day-to-day worries. If He is our door, then we are never outside His care. This message invites us to examine where we’re looking for freedom and fulfillment. Are we, like fish out of water, chasing life in places we weren’t created for? Or are we stepping into the abundant life found only in Him?
