Your Giving Changes Lives

SUPPORT THE MISSIONS OF SVA

Impacting Lives for Eternity

Because of your generous giving, SVA Church is reaching the world with the love of Jesus. Together, we’re providing life-giving ministries, planting churches around the world, and leading local and global outreach efforts to transform lives within our church and beyond. At SVA Church we believe that giving of your financial resources is an act of worship and we celebrate the heart of giving. We trust God to provide for our needs and those we support, as He equips those who call SVA Church home to join in our mission. Here are some easy ways to support our church.

Frequently Asked Questions

We have two categories that fund into our Mission giving at SVA: Tithes & Offerings and Local & Global Humanitarian Aid Fund (LGHA).

Tithes & Offerings
A portion of tithes and offerings fund our commitments to the C&MA where religious instruction is directly involved. We are currently supporting the Great Commission Fund (which supports over 800 International Workers) and other partner missionaries.
Local & Global Humanitarian Aid
This Fund is funded by a combination of employer matching programs (i.e. Goldman Sachs, Benevity, Costco, Schwab Investments, and more) and individual donors. Because organizations that primarily focus on religious instruction do not qualify for most matching programs, all efforts funded by the LGHA Fund focus on Humanitarian Aid. Programs supported through LGHA included: Urban Missions, SVA Benevolence, Free the Oppressed, Love SV, the Pon Family, CarePoint Free Clinic, Empower Youth Network, Reclaim Shelter Services, Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank, Encompass, and Helping Hands.

Click here to login to your giving account. From there, you can view and modify your giving. If you are having issues, email our Executive Pastor, Jon Wren, at jon@svachurch.org.

Yes! Many employers offer matching gift programs that can double the impact of your donation. If your workplace provides this benefit, you can list Snoqualmie Valley Alliance (SVA) as the nonprofit organization, and we’ll confirm your gift so it qualifies for the match.

Not sure if your company participates? Ask your HR department or benefits team — it’s a simple way to make your generosity go even further.

Thank you for your donation of stock to SVA Church. It is our desire to partner with our donors in a way that makes donating to SVA Church simple and impactful. Please know that we believe the information provided in our stock statements is for the best interest of all parties involved.

Based on counsel from our CPA, it is in the best interest of the church to provide you with a detailed description of stock that has been received rather than the sold value of the stock.

We want to encourage you to obtain this information directly from your financial advisor. Your financial advisor has easy access to all stock sales and can determine the value appropriate for you. They can also see the value of the stock when donated, and the broker who transfers the stock can provide the value on the date of transfer. That number can then be verified by your financial advisor.

Stock donation receipts are sent separately from your SVA Church giving as we have found that it is best practice to record these gifts separately. You should also receive a year-end statement directly from the brokerage account.

Lastly, stock donations are considered a non-cash gift due to IRS regulations on cash donations.

We’re thankful for every gift and take donor intent seriously. Designated gifts are tracked separately and used for the purpose intended whenever possible. If a project is completed or no longer active, any remaining funds are directed to a related ministry area so they still make an impact. Unused funds are reviewed regularly to ensure they’re stewarded well and always aligned with SVA’s mission.

Available fund categories include:

  • Tithes & Offerings – general ministry support
  • Building Fund – facility projects and improvements
  • Great Commission Fund – missions giving through the C&MA
  • Local & Global Humanitarian Aid Fund - non-religious missions giving through SVA
  • Special Campaigns – unique, time-bound projects or needs

Yes! SVA is a registered nonprofit, and all gifts are tax-deductible. Annual giving statements are provided for your records in January.

We take stewardship seriously. All finances are guided by an approved financial policy and overseen by our Finance Committee and Governance Board. Monthly reviews and annual reporting ensure transparency, and outside reviews are conducted periodically to maintain integrity and trust.

If you have any questions about our process or finances, please reach out to our Executive Pastor, Jon Wren, at Jon@svachurch.org.
