The Light of the World

Mar 16, 2025    Rev. Baly Botten

This message invites us to see Jesus as the light of the world—not just as a symbol, but as a bold declaration of His divinity in John 8. His light doesn’t just illuminate; it exposes our deepest flaws. Yet, in that exposure, we find healing and freedom. The story of the woman caught in adultery powerfully illustrates this: in the presence of perfect holiness, she receives not condemnation, but grace. This challenges us to ask—are we allowing Christ’s light to reveal and restore the hidden places in our hearts? As His followers, we’re called to reflect His light in a dark world, living with integrity, courage, and unshakable joy even in difficult seasons. This message urges us to embrace the discomfort of exposure, knowing that on the other side lies the healing and freedom we all long for.
