The U.S. is a shame culture without knowing it. What we call problems of insecurity and self-esteem, the Bible calls shame. We juxtapose shame with its opposing vice-pride and with its opposing virtue-humility. The Christ message speaks eloquently to the subject of shame.

Who chooses this class? People who know that shame blocks them from relating more freely and lovingly. People who may not know the shame that they live with, but feel stuck.
